Florence - Capital of Tuscany

Florence is the capital of Tuscany and one of the pearls of Italy, its wonderful masterpieces and great works of architecture enriching the everyday life of what is now also a vibrant modern city.

  • Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore The cathedral was designed by Arnolfo di Cambio in 1294 to be the largest Roman Catholic church in the world

Siena - City of 17 Contrades and The Palio

Siena lies between the Chianti in the north, the Val di Chiana in the east and the Val d’Orcia and the Crete in the south and is one of the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. Set on three hills, the city is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps, whilst the Piazza del Campo stands at its heart, and the Duomo and St Maria della Scala serve as additional cultural landmarks. Famed for the "Palio", the annual historic horse-races that take place on 2 July and 16 August.

Pisa - Leaning Tower and Campo dei Miracoli

Pisa, like Florence, is on the Arno, which flows into the Mediterranean Sea a few kilometers away. Pisa is also one of the most important university cities in Italy, which 40,000 students shape life with; just a few hundred meters from the cathedral square, the winding streets with bars and typical houses painted in pisan yellow begin.

  • Versilia Marina di Carrara, Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta, Camaiore, Viareggio. The beach in the Versilia is very wide and long - there is basically a kilometers-long beach that goes from Forte dei Marmi to Viareggio.
  • Versilia Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Calambrone. As you head south, the beaches get shorter and more narrow. Many of them start having copses as well as stretches of actual woods right behind the beach.
